Every February Napier goes back in time to the 1930s and plays host to one of the worlds biggest vintage festivals: the Napier Art Deco Festival.
This year the theme was fashion, and I am so proud to have put together my first ever runway collection. Local and national designers were asked to create ‘Art Deco Inspired’ capsule collections; scroll down to enjoy my 10 piece 2019 collection. All items are for sale unless otherwise stated.

1. Green Beach Pyjamas (Modelled by Vianca) *SOLD*
We start the collection with a selection of resort-wear for the modern ‘30s lady. First up, a stunning pair of beach pyjamas comprising white linen trousers paired with a green halter neck top featuring appliqued Art Deco motifs.

2. Turquoise Linen Dress (Modeled by Briana) *SOLD*
This linen dress nods to nautical fashions of the 1930s and is based on an original fashion sketch from a 1934 McCalls catalogue. Feminine and figure hugging with its cinched waist and bias cut skirt, its perfect for promenading along marine parade!

3. Yellow Cotton 1920s Dress (Modeled by Lorelei) *SOLD*
Also featuring Tammy’s signature Art Deco motif, this happy yellow dress with its relaxed fit and dropped waist recalls carefree summers at the beach, perhaps in pre-earthquake 1920s Napier.

4. Red Beach Pyjamas (Modeled by Maria) *SOLD*
Returning to the 1930s, this pair of red beach pyjamas combines nautical themes with Art Deco chic, featuring wide-legged linen trousers with matching belt and streamline details on the collar.

Also featuring flutter sleeves, this navy evening dress is made from a luxurious silk devoré velvet and is paired with a silk velvet head band and matching belt.

From the designer’s personal wardrobe, this ensemble would be worn to an evening soiree or private gathering in 1920s society. The red silk dress, worn underneath an oriental-style kimono, won Tammy the 2014 Art Deco Fashion Competition and was the dress that started it all.

10. Lisa’s Red Evening Gown (Modeled by Lisa) *SOLD*
