Tammy Twinkletoes

I’ve always had a passion for sewing; it started in kindergarten making felt gnomes! Since then I have studied fashion and costume at AUT including one semester abroad studying tailoring at UCA Rochester. After graduating I fell into a career in interior design, starting with motorhomes and then moving onto kitchen design (though all my spare time was spent sewing!)

In 2013 I discovered my love of vintage fashion and Art Deco design when I first attended the Napier Art Deco Festival. I was blown away by the fun, carefree styles of the 1920s and knew that one day sunny Napier would be where I called home.

And here we are!

I now split my time between running Tammy Twinkletoes (with the help of Mister Twinkletoes of course!), teaching swing dancing with the Hi-De-Ho Swing School, and exploring the Hawkes Bay with our faithful greyhound, Luna.
